University of Hawaii 1980 College World Series Wool Hat
History
Led by legendary head coach Les Murakami, the 1980 University of Hawaii Rainbow baseball team brought honor and glory to Hawaii with a winning streak that took them all the way to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska. The Rainbows made their march to Omaha by sweeping the WAC title in Honolulu and the NCAA Central Regional Championship in Austin, Texas. Without a single All-American on its roster, the team came within one game of winning the national crown.
