Duke & The Babe 1933
The greatest slugger with the greatest surfer/swimmer of the era, taken in 1933 Hawaii by Fritz Kraft.
From the Honolulu Advertiser:
Babe Ruth, the mighty king of King Klout, took his first ride in an outrigger canoe Wednesday afternoon. He was the guest of Duke Kahanamoku. The Babe expressed a desire to ride the waves the very first day of his arrival. Yesterday was his first opportunity to get out and try it. "Great Sport," said the Babe as he came in after almost an hour "outside." Here he is before taking off. In the group left to right are "Tough Bill" Keaweamahi, the Duke, the Babe, and in the water Bill Kahanamoku.
